Larger, richer and better looking, Goregaon overshadows its southern neighbor, Jogeshwari. It boasts of skyscrapers that reach up 30 stories, the sprawling complex of sets called Film City and the huge milk colony that churns out most of the city's supply and even hosts a golf club.

High on the 18th floor, with an additional 4 stories of parking under him, Ajit Chaturvedi can see the Worli TV tower all the way from his house on the Film City Road. The view, with the entire western suburbs lit up and spread out against the pitch-black night, is awe-inspiring. The new flyovers, part of a series of 50 built all over the city, cut driving time to Bandra to twenty minutes. Once too way out, this part of Goregaon, with a health club, the Royal Challenge restaurant around the corner, and both the Aarey colony and the Borivali national park in view, makes great living.
