It was a swirly, reddish, muddy brown moon, like a jaundiced evil eye staring at me with no life and I stopped jogging and walked along the sea and looked at it. It's very different when silver and reflecting off dark water like velvet and glass, but now it was death. It grew darker as it went down, and died very quietly.
