One of many who line Imamwada Road every year, this knife sharpener does flourishing business on the morning of Muharram.
Over tea that he shares with me I discover razor sharp wit and a quick smile. Out of the 100 or so sharpeners I saw, I chose him because of his remarkably characteristic Mughal face.
I overheard one customer telling him not to sharpen the knives too much. They were for his five year old son.
