Get to Wadi Sahtan by heading out of Muscat on the airport road, turning left off it to Rustaq. Sahtan is just after the town, leading into the mountains to the south.

Zero your odometer at the beginning of Wadi Sahtan, where the road dips into the valley and the dirt track begins.

13.9km: Amq
14.7km: Turn left. On your right you will find a sign pointing to Al Hob, 12km away
16km: Turn left to Jebel Dawi, 13km away. The road climbs steeply: engage low 4WD
22.4km: You will find yourself around the top of the mountain. The road drops steeply down the other side: engage low 4WD
24.5km: Dar
26km: Dawi
28km: Daharan. Just ahead are the farms of Limqasil
