Don’t worry, spiders,/
I keep house/
casually.
We puttered further north, out of the island and on to Krabi, four tuk-tuk hours away. And while it has some fantastic coastline, what really stood out were its rock formations, rising blocks of stone towering hundreds of feet, dripping with vegetation. This fascinating topography was bejewelled with ancient temples, pools of turquoise water and towering gold Buddhas. One such jewel was Wattumsea, a temple that you have to climb more than a thousand steps to get to. Above, demons and gods battled it out, alone except for the more adventurous of tourists who made it to the top.
